Ultrasonic metal melt treatment system, also known as ultrasonic metal crystallization system, is a high-power ultrasonic equipment specially used in the metal casting industry. It mainly acts on the crystallization process of molten metal, can significantly refine metal grains, uniform alloy composition, accelerate bubble movement, and significantly improve the strength and hardness of metal materials.

Application:

It is mainly used in gravity casting, low-pressure casting and other continuous cooling casting fields of light metals, such as aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy plate casting, mold casting, etc.

Working principle:

The system is composed of two parts: ultrasonic vibration parts and ultrasonic generator: ultrasonic vibration parts are used to generate ultrasonic vibration – mainly including ultrasonic transducer, ultrasonic horn, tool head (emitter), and transmit this vibration energy to the metal melt.

The transducer converts the input electric energy into mechanical energy, that is, ultrasonic. Its manifestation is that the transducer moves back and forth in the longitudinal direction, and the amplitude is generally several microns. Such amplitude power density is not enough and cannot be used directly. The ultrasonic horn amplifies the amplitude according to the design requirements, isolates the metal melt and heat transfer, and also plays a role in fixing the whole ultrasonic vibration system. The tool head is connected with the horn, which transmits the ultrasonic energy vibration to the tool head, and then the ultrasonic energy is emitted into the metal melt by the tool head.

When the metal melt receives ultrasonic waves during cooling or pressing, its grain structure will change significantly, so as to improve various physical properties of the metal.
